Tuthill M-D Pneumatics air blower pump compressor 7018 21L2 with 200KW heater and 25hp motor plus heat exchanger air dryer regeneration unit.
This listing is for ONE of two units shown. Approximate replacement cost is $16,000. The blower is about $6000. The motor about $1000. The heater about $5000. The heat exchanger about $2500. The original cost of one complete unit with 2 desicant drying tanks and controls, rated for 2000 cfm at atmospheric pressure, was about $350,000. There were three of these units. We have parts of two of them.
This unit was part of a large air drying system that never got installed. This unit was built by Lectrodryer.http:// /products.shtml in 2001-it was delivered but never installed.
This blower is capable of over 2000 cfm at 6psi pressure or 12" hg vacuum with 66 hp. With the installed 25 hp motor, it can do either the same pressure or same volume but with the other parameter reduced-or reduced volume and pressure (see the performance curves link below).

This section looks to be a heat exchanger that could use liquid for either heating or cooling the air. Construction looks to be stainless steel. It was used as a condenser for removing moisture from the air from the desiccant tank being regenerated by passing cold liquid through the pip connections shown below.
There is what appears to be a gas pressure regulator as shown above and below. We don't know its function at this time.
The big long tube on top contains a 200KW ACCUTHERM air heater as shown below. It was used to heat air to regenerated the desiccant in one of the desiccant drying tanks while the other tank was in use.

Note the huge number of heating element connections.
Length of the top heating tube assembly is about 11.5 feet.
Overall unit length is about 13 feet.
Unit width is about 6 feet and height is about 7 feet excluding the junction box as shown below.
The heat exchange core module is about 16 by 24 by 32 inches.
