Shoulder Bolts are also known as Shoulder Screws or Stripper Bolts. They are used in sliding or rotating applications: for example punch work, as a bearing pin, or in pulley shafts. The "shoulder" description comes from the unthreaded shoulder under the head, which diameter is the first measurement in the description. The length of this unthreaded shoulder is the second.
