The machine is an RDO Model CS2 Induction Casting machine.
It has the more powerful 7.5 kw Circuit.
The machines are used primarily for casting gold, platinum and stainless steel.
This particular machine has been used to cast 316L stainless and 18k gold.
It has a larger induction coil which was cast custom for us in refractory material to prevent arcing during casting and allow us to use slightly larger flasks.
Also included with the machine::
(15) 3mm wall flasks measuring 7 x 4.75"
(30) New-Unused 5mm wall flasks.
This machine was manufactured in February 2006
We bought it new in March 2006 at $ 36,000.
We haven't used it in 18 months because we abandoned the cast product line, and are now selling it rather than move it across town and let it just sit for another year.
