Here is a very vintage, antique, heavy duty soldering iron. American Beauty, number 3158 - made by American Electric Heater Company, Detroit U.S.A. Volts 110-120 200 Watts. There are instructions on the handle shield for taking the tool apart.
Total length of iron is about 13 inches - including the copper tip. Cord looks to be original, and just over 5 feet long. I plugged it in after cleaning some of the 'dust' off, and it got hot quickly! If you were going to plan on using it, I'd suggest a new cord, but this one does work. If you are a vintage tool collector, this should make a nice addition to your collection.
