Tacky EP 680 non-foaming, wear-reducing, energy saving, 609 ALMASOL Vari-Purpose Gear Lubricant (ISO 680) is specially formulated to meet the most demanding requirements of all types of enclosed gears such as spur, worm, hypoind and all of their many variations. This heavy duty lubricant is manufactured using the finest, selected high VI paraffinic base oils. It contains ALMASOL plus superior rust and oxidation inhibitors, anti-foaming additives and EP additives. In addition, a special metal adhesion additive has been added to provide the extra protection required in today's severe applications.
ALMASOL Vari-Purpose Gear Lubricants save money by reducing electricity and capital costs through lower friction and operating temperatures. Users often observe a drop in gearbox operating temperatures from 10 °F to 50 °F or more. ALMASOL reduces friction and can withstand operating temperatures up to 1900 °F. These products use potent anti-foaming agents which break up entrapped air bubbles to keep operating temperatures low. They are cohesive and will stick to metal surfaces. They have high oxidative resistances because of the selected paraffinic base oils coupled with oxidation inhibitors. In addition, they extend seal life and rapidly separate from water. Users commonly experience up to 30% amperage drops. These products are versatile as one type of gear lubricant may be used in differentials, transmissions and most types of industrial gearboxes.
This is not automatic transmission, hydraulic or semi-automatic transmission oil and is not for use in common-sump systems which use a combination gear-hydraulic oil, a hydraulic oil or power steering fluid. Please note that limited-slip differentials may require a limited-slip additive. ALMASOL Vari-Purpose Gear Lubricants are extreme pressure gear lubricants for severe service in hypoind gears, transmissions and all types of industrial gears.
