HP/Agilent 50dB Waveguide Variable Attenuator R382A
Up for sale is one good used condition HP R382A Variable Waveguide Attenuator. This unit is sold fully tested and is in like new condition. The pictures are of the actual unit being tested and doesn't include any of the other pictured equipment that was used for testing. The base is missing some paint, as seen in the pictures, and support shaft is not the right length. The unit was tested throughout its attenuation range and worked correctly at all levels.
Other information I was able to find on this unit:
The R382A's attenuation value depends on the rotation angle of the resistive vane, rather than on the resistive value of the attenuating material. Therefore, it is insensitive to changes in temperature and humidity which can affect the resistive card of ordinary adjustable flap attenuators. The attenuation value is highly accurate and is stable from 0 to 50 dB. The instrument features large, easy-to-read dials, and can handle considerable microwave power.
