Vanguard CA series engine lathes are constructed of high quality Meehanite castings through out. All bedways are induction hardened and precision ground on CNC way grinding machines. The spindles are forged steel and are supported by precision NSK bearings. The Headstock features hardened and ground steel gears lubricated by an automatic force lubrication system. The gear box is totally enclosed, and is lubricated by an automatic forced lubrication system. The Vanguard CA series engine lathes are engineered and manufactured for precision and maximum performance with standard features normally found as options on higher priced machines.
