Blue Max 316/316L stick electrode, with its distinctive blue coating, is for joining 316 and 316L stainless steels. Designed for all-position welding, except vertical down.
? Distinctive blue coating means a very smooth arc with spray type metal transfer.
? Excellent operator appeal ? low spatter, and exceptional wetting action. Can be lightly dragged without freezing to the weld.
? Designed to contain considerable ferrite, for maximum crack resistance.
? Manufactured under a quality system certified to ISO 9001 requirements.
? For joining 316 and 316L stainless steels. Not intended for joints in service in the urea manufacture industry.
? ASTM A240 Types 316 and 316L.
? ASTM A743 or A744 Type CF-8M and CF-3M.
? Diameters up to and including 5/32" (4.0mm) are designed for all-position welding, except vertical down.
? 3/16" (4.8mm) diameter is generally used for flat and horizontal only.
? Requires a wider weave technique in the vertical up position than does a Red Baron stick electrode.
