Here we have a nice used Floating Tapping head
This type of floating head helps to automatically align your tap to center if your spindle center is not perfectly aligned with the center of your hole to be tapped, it does not float up and down vertically if your spindle is vertical. This type is not a tension compression holder.
It does not have a collet with it right but there is one in the photo below so you can see what type it needs, I am pretty sure it takes this style collet but not 100% sure, maybe you can order one from a catalog.
Overall length is 5" The hole in the end of the collet but measures .447"
