If you have a small metal parts operation building for commercial trucks, choppers, street rods, race cars, trailers, auto parts, farm equipment or another fabricated metal parts businesses, this may be the ideal machine for you to increase your accuracy and production rate until you are at a rate of hundreds of thousands of parts per year.
We bought this machine new in '73 for about $30,000 to produce runs of mild steel and aluminum parts. As we grew we have added several turrets and lasers and no longer need this Duplicator. This is like a manual turret press and can produce shapes, punch holes and duplicate to a +/- .005" accuracy from template to work piece.
The machine has a 30" throat and punches a maximum metal of 3/8" mild steel. It weighs approximately 10,000#, with the 230/460v, 3 phase, 10 hp power unit. It also includes numerous punches and dies that would cost in the thousands of dollars to replace. There are dies for round, square, rectangular and oblong shapes from 1/16" to 4 - 3/16" in diameter. It can punch a 3/4" diameter hole in 1/4" thick mild steel and up to a 5" diameter in 16 gage mild steel. It takes a footprint in your shop of 150" width, 88" depth and 68 1/2" height, plus the power unit.
The machine works by locating a stylus on the template to locate the edge or hole and then actuating the press. It features "Rapi-Change" tooling for quick resetting of dies. We have all the manuals and we can demonstrate how it operates.
