The CMVA10 Microlog is a powerful data collector and FFT analyzer, specifically designed for machinery condition monitoring, bearing-wear detection and predictive maintenance use. Utilizing the latest in digital technology and packaging, this powerful instrument is completely portable. Microlog includes an easily accessible snap-in NiCad battery cartridge, and weighs only 5 pounds (2.3 kg). Designed for reliable and accurate operation in harsh industrial environments, this compact instrument acquires machinery condition data and clearly displays overall measurement levels and FFT spectra on a large, backlighted screen. Capable of displaying both time and frequency domain screen presentations in single and split-formats, this powerful, lightweight instrument has numerous applications.
The CMVA10 Microlog can be used for the following:
* Collection of Machinery Vibration Data for upload to SKF software
* Early detection of bearing defects or gear tooth wear
* Machinery vibration analysis and monitoring
* Time/frequency diagnostics
In the collector mode, the instrument stores overall vibration, high-resolution FFT spectra to 6400 lines, time domain waveforms, process variables (such as pressure and temperature) and alphanumeric comments. Vibration alarm advisories are displayed with optional automatic spectrum storage.
Full acceleration signal enveloping is easily accomplished within the CMVA10 Microlog.
Envelope detection makes it possible to discover those high-frequency, low-amplitude signals that may indicate rolling element bearing wear or gear tooth defects in machinery. Acceleration signal enveloping is proven to be an extremely effective means for early detection of bearing element and gear mesh wear conditions in a wide range of machinery applications.
The CMVA10 Microlog features the patented SEE Technology, developed by SKF, to detect and identify bearing defects. Based on extensive research conducted at the SKF Engineering and Research Center, SEE can detect bearing defects at very slow rotational speeds, as well as defects normally masked by structural vibration. SEE provides valuable assistance in identifying different types of rolling element bearing damage.
As a portable data collector and monitoring instrument, the CMVA10 Microlog is fully compatible with PRISM 4 for Windows data maintenance management software, for highly accurate presentation of:
* Historical measurement trends
* Magnitude/phase vector plots
* Single and multiple FFT spectra
* Comparisons to alarms and stored data
