high-speed tool steel for exceptional interval between regrinds. 1/4 degree back taper and near polished flanks to reduce friction and eliminate galling. External lubrication grooves to allow fluid flow. Single point turned radii at base of punch point to improve strength. Exceptional dimensional accuracy combined with superior angularity and concentricity result in extended tool life. Available in two styles; Ultra XT with lubrication grooves and Ultra-Metric which is compatible with Original Style 1/2â€(A) station punches.
