Description in the Preface: The Drawing Procedures Manual (DPM) establishes uniform procedures and requirements for the preparation, release and revision of engineering drawings and allied engineering documents. It contains data to be used by all Martin Marietta Corporation Aerospace Operating Divisions and those peculiar data which are exclusive to a particular division. The DPM is not intended as a manual of instruction in the basic principles of drafting, nor does it contain data which is readily available in other publications. Strict conformance with the requirements of this Manual is necessary in order to assure compliance with applicable Government contract specifications, Company policies and procedures, and to assure that sufficient information is shown on drawings to allow processing, procurement, fabrication and inspection of the articles delineated. It is recognized that in many cases other methods might be used; however, standardization of methods is necessary to assure uniformity of intpretation by using personnel and to permit interdivisional use of this document. Deviations to the requirements of this Manual are permitted only as authorized by Engineering Procedures Directives or unless specifically approved by the Engineering Procedures Unit of the respective operating division. This Manual with divisional peculiar information supercedes and cancels all similar existing divisional manual data which pertain to the preparation, release and revision of engineering drawings. Suggestions for improvements to this Manual should be directed to the Engineering Procedures Unit of the respective division.
This manual, by the drawings, appears to have information regarding aircraft and watercraft. I am by far, no expert, and have little to no knowledge on the information this manual contains. It, quite frankly, appears Greek to me. Please email if there is anything that I can look for within this manual to help you. There are many diagrams, misc. information, and drawings. I am not able to decipher most of these, but I can look into the Index and try to get any information you might have questions on.
Manual is in used condition with some dog-eared pages. No writing or other damages found to the interior. The outside is a blue soft cover with a handwritten note visible as to the name of the manual on the front cover. Tear in the center of the front cover. Minor scuffing and edgewear. Spine area is in very good condition.
*** Special Note*** This manual appears to be complete in its text and diagrams. However, I cannot be positive on this matter. If there is something in particular that you are looking for, please email first to make sure that you are getting what you are expecting.
Measures: 8 1/2" wide by 11" long
