ATA on an equal weight basis provides cut resistance that is up to 4 times greater then that of a 100% aramid product such as Kevlar or Twaron.
100% Kevlar glove (KV18A) requires 880.2 grams of weight to cut 20mm.
100% ATA glove (ATA30) requires 3608.3 grams of weight to cut 20mm.
The ATA glove provides 4.10 times the cut protection as the Kevlar glove at a much lower cost.
The ATA material while providing superior cut resistance is much less expensive than other cut resistance material such as Kevlar, Twaron or Spectra.
Worker protection is greatly increased while cost is reduced significantly, in some cases up to 40%.
ATA is a revolutionary new high performance fiber constructed by a patented process that combines aramids and other synthetic materials to produce cut resistant properties never before achieved in a spun fiber.
The ATA core is engineered with a combination of cut resistant components, which run parallel with the para-aramid fiber that is bonded to the outside core. This provides an extremely cut resistant material while allowing a great amount of dexterity, flexibility and comfort.
