Universal Pie Shaped Shrinking Dies
* Polished to a mirror smooth finish these dies require no preparation to start shrinking sheet metal.
* This set is Mild at 22 Hrc, if your Alignment is off you can easily relieve this set.
* These dies have No Shanks(make your Own) 5/8's Square Pocket in Underside with 1/4-20 tapped hole.
* Our Shrinking Dies are Tapered to allow Very High Crown to pass thru without Flattening your Panels.
* All edges have Nice radius'
Alignment is Critical on Shrinking Dies, Using the Square Pocket we cut in the Bottom makes Orientation Simple!
Not Reccomended in Planishing Hammers. These Dies Will Only Shrink on a Fixed Stroke Machine. Ideally you need to set a Gap between the Dies Sweet Spot (at the Base of the Machined Pin) a couple of thousandths bigger than the Metal your Shrinking. If the Gap is set to tight these Dies Will Stretch Not Shrink. The Gap needs to be a bit thicker than the Material because as you Shrink the Metal it becomes thicker.
Look closely at the Pictures, as they say "A Picture says a thousand words".
