Mobile substation temporary power transformer 1500KVA
Mobile substation custom built by PowerCon Corp 1500KVA 13,800 primary 480VAC secondary 60HZ. The outdoor rated cabinets are mounted on a 7' x 25' skid 9'7" tall, approx 25,000 lbs - 30,000lbs. Four leveling jacks, one on each corner and has four steel wheels which can be mounted on the bottom of the skid to help with moving. The unit consists of a 15KV disconnect switch bussed into a bank of three 15.5KV fuses then into the Westinghouse 3PH 1500KVA dry type transformer. The primary has five taps 13110,13455,13800,14145,14490 volts input. The 480VAC secondary is bussed into a GE main breaker which is branched off to eight 600 amp resettable GE breakers. The eight breakers are currently set to 600,540,420,420,400,400,400,250 amps. There is also a ground fault system tied into the main breaker. On the front of the unit there is a 50KVA low voltage control transformer and low voltage control and circuit breaker panel. The breaker cabinet is temperature controlled using electric heating elements to maintain a constant temperature, it is also lighted. It has amp, voltage, watthour, transformer temperature guages. The control panel has a switch for each feed to check amperage and voltage. The transformer monitor will also shut the unit down on over temperature. All of the inter power connections are by copper buss bar mounted on insulators. Input and output connections are made from the back of the cabnets and the feeds in and out come in from under the skid. This is a high quality unit in perfect condition. All of the cabinets are clean and dry on the inside. The substation is perfect for mining, batch plants, construction sites, etc., in need of a high capacity temporary power system ready to go.
