This Sony integral dome enclosure makes the easy-to-install SNC-DF40 an unobtrusive addition to any environment. M-JPEG and MPEG-4 compression with Adaptive Rate Control ensures stable, high quality pictures with network-efficient bandwidth requirements, delivering high frame rates up to 30 fps at QVGA resolution via the 1/4 type IT Super HAD CCD sensor.
The camera supports audio transmission from either its own in-built microphone or an external line input, and the in-built vari-focal lens provides optimum coverage over any desired area. Smart vector motion detection provides more efficient activity detection with reduced risk of false triggers.

The DF40N is the indoor version and the DF70N is the outdoor version. Like the DF70N, the DF40N includes audio support as well. A solid camera with a ton of features that will get used. With 30fps, MPEG-4 and SuperHAD image sensor, the DF70N is a IP superior camera at a competitive price.
