The Tap is new and in its original container. It is made from High Speed Steel and has ground threads. Morse has gained an international reputation for quality and in our opinion is the preeminent name in cutting tools.
+.005" Oversize taps are mainly used for parts that will be plated or heat treated after tapping. They are also used in materials that tend to shrink after tapping.
