This tool is for the true professional drill sharpener where getting the bit just right is essential for productivity and accuracy of drilling operations. This tool makes it possible to thin webs in the right places as well as add chip breaker groves. Standard size drill bit capacity is 1/2 to 3". It is a current model tool.

This particular unit is missing a pair of key parts, even though it does not appear to have had much if any use. It is missing the bit holder assembly and the adapter to Morse tapers. The factory replacement cost is about $350 for these parts. The other items one would want to get from the factory are a v-block adapter for smaller drill bits and the manual for a cost of about $125. You use standard Morse-taper adapters and chucks to fit your various drill bits. Mary at the factory is very nice to deal with.
Someone did roughhouse with the conduit to the motor but this is easily fixed.
The swivel handle assembly in the foreground is the diamond grinding wheel dresser.
