MC34063 Adjustable Power Supply DC-DC Converter
One adjustable power regulators designed by a famous DC-DC converter IC MC34063. Output is stable and smooth.
The input can take a range from 4v to 20v DC. The output is adjustable from 2.5V to 20V DC.
Input: DC 4V~20V (If you would change the higher endurance voltage electrolytic capacitors. Input voltage range would be DC 4V ~35V)
Output Voltage (adjustable): DC 2.5V ~ 20V. ( Step-Down mode is preset to 5V output, Step-Up mode is preset to 12V. Tune the potentiometer to adjust the output voltage.)
better than 200mA in Step-Up mode.
(Test condition.+20V output, 100 ohm load with a 12V/1A input. )
better than 500mA in Step-Down mode.
Test condition. +5V output, 10 ohm load with a 12V/1A input. )
The output current is up to 1A, may vary by the diffrence of input and output voltage, and the input source's power.
Output Ripple: Lower than 50mV or 1% Vout in 200mA load in step down mode and 100mA in step up mode.
You can convert the module from step-up mode to step-down mode easily by adjust some components's installation position or convert it from step-down mode to step-up mode.
If you need a lower profile, specially for the height, you can use a shorter electrolytic capacitor to replace the original one, but remember the endurance voltage fit your need.
If you want to use this module on a PCB or Breadboard, you can solder a 3pin 2.54 pitch connector to connect it to the PCB.
