This book has "hundreds of money-saving, helpful suggestions for making repairs and improvements in and around your home."
ASBESTOS is mentioned in quite a few places.
"Asbestos shingles are fireproof and will last indefinitely."
There is a section on using Asbestos Cement for boiler insulation and it says, "Asbestos cement is obtainable in 100 pound bags and in smaller quantities." There are drawings that show how the asbestos can be used as boiler insulation and also to repair cracks in boiler insulation.
There are drawings showing how Asbestos paper can be used to insulate a warm air furnace.
There is a drawing showing a hot water boiler insulated with cellular asbestos.
The section on Cords shows a picture of three types of cords and says "Type C with a layer of asbestos is designed for heating appliances like toasters, irons, and room heater."
There is also an illustration showing the proper method of wiring appliance plug that shows "asbestos insulation brought up to terminal clips."
