This handsome L-MODEL MACK owned by Ted Wall, Jr., of Woodland, Washington, is unloading a big load of Pacific Northwest timber at the mill. I believe that this is an LJ MACK, designed for heavy duty work. Some 13,900 LJ’s were produced by Mack between 1940 and 1956. While exact date of this photo is unknown, I believe it to be from the late 1940s or early 1950s. A Cummins “Iron Cross” logo is prominent on the hood, as often was done with trucks converted from gas to diesel power. The Mack also has a semaphor-type turn signal on the driver’s side at the rear of the cab, as was common on many west coast trucks of this era before flashing turn signals became popular.
This is an mint quality reproduction photo, professionally printed on quality Kodak or Fujifilm paper, in perfect mint-like condition. This is a reproduction from my personal collection, and is NOT an inkjet copy.
