This unit works beautifully! Currently the unit is configured for temperature and relative humidity (0-100° F and 0-100% RH). A type T thermocouple probe and a new Vaisala HMT100 relative humidity transmitter are included. The recorder readings check out well when checked against other temperature and humidity instruments I own. Depending on your application, calibration may be desirable or required.
Note that this unit was assembled as a DR45AT-1000-00-001-0-500000-0. However, a second input card has been added, so the current configuration would have a part # of DR45AT-1100-00-001-0-500000-0.
This unit features an alarm card (2 alarms with high and low setpoints). All that's needed is to add a flashing light, an audible buzzer, or perhaps an autodialer to get you out of bed when your incubator air gets too hot/cold or dry/wet. Note that the maximum current allowable through the alarm relay is 1 A at 120 VAC. For larger loads, the alarm relay could control another larger relay.
This unit can record a vast number of different types of process variables. The recorder prints its own chart (on 12†diameter thermal chart paper), recording two process variables on the same timeline, eliminating errors caused by temperature and humidity changes that effect the paper. No pen, no ink, and only one type of chart needs to be ordered! Customized charts can be designed and programmed into the recorder depending on the desired units and sensor/ transmitter configurations. Chart titles and notes can be programmed, eliminating the need to make notes by hand. Auditors will love this!
Chart speed can be set from 6 to 744 hours (31 days) per revolution, or you can use the standard 8hr., 24 hr., or 7 day speeds. The recorder will accept the following inputs: Thermocouple, RTD, mV, 0-5V, 4-20 mADC, & Radiamatic (for Honeywell type pyrometers, I believe).
Current cost of this recorder new is $1900. The charts are priced at approx. $40 per package of 100. A new Vaisala HMT100 can be found online for $400+.
The unit is used and in good physical/cosmetic condition with a small "divot" in the plastic window over the digital readout (in the door, not on the display itself). Also there are some minor scratches, tape gum, tags, etc..
