Along with redundant military manuals, also includes the Tektronix Semiconductor Parts Catalog, an interesting and informative Articles PDF, plus a text-searchable scan of the entire 508 page 1990 Tektronix Catalog of almost 3000 items, all at no additional charge!
These manuals cover servicing and operating the Tektronix 2235 Oscilloscope. We noticed that the worst of the "marketing" vendors has upped his "volume count" by adding a couple of free internet download military manuals so we added things you can use that are not redundant (like a military manual is): the Tek Semiconductor Parts Cross Reference, an interesting and informative Articles PDF, and and a text-searchable scan of the 1990 Tek Catalog. All are scanned from the original manufacturer's manuals and documents, NO MARKETING TRICKS like redundant military manuals are used here! The scans came out well, and all information available in the original documents is available here. The Service Manual is part number 070-4206-00, latest revision 5/83 and with changes to 8/83. The Operating Manual is part number 070-4975-00 first printing 8/84 and revised 5/86 The original operating manual contained no A3 (17x11") pages. Pages that are larger than A4 (8.5x11") in the service manual are supplied in BOTH 8.5x11" sectioned and 11x17" sheets (the 11x17" sheets are supplied separately in a "foldouts.pdf" document to avoid annoying page resizing problems.
Two PDFs each of the operating and service manuals are provided, in two resolutions. One is:
Text with Drawings at 400-600dpi black and white
Schematics at 400-600dpi black and white or greyscale
Text with photos at 400-600dpi grayscale with contrast adjusted
Schematics, board overlays w/color notes at 400-600dpi 256 colors
This high resolution looks very nice, but for many purposes uses excessive resources. You can copy the large file to the hard drive in an attempt to achieve maximum performance, but having that be a necessity is certainly of no advantage to you. Therefore, we include second scans of the operating and service manuals.
The second scans are done in resolutions that vary depending on individual page content, but are never higher than needed to produce a useable quality, quickly navigable file that will do the job without consuming more time and resources than are needed. The Cross Reference and Articles PDFs are both done in this more manageable (and entirely readable) resolution.
