Here is some information from the manufacturer. Please note that this is a basic description of the GLIII. Some minor details may vary.
The innovative GL-III provides semi-automatic gluing at a rate of up to 200 feet per minute using hot glue, cold glue or a unique combination of simultaneous hot and cold adhesives. The optional “DGS†(Dual Glue System) includes the instantaneous tack time found with hot glue, but with the added benefit of the strength found with liner-penetrating cold glue. Machine highlights include standard CNC computer control, Nordson Pro-Blue 10 model hot-melt glue system with on/off timer, ability to operate with inside or outside glue tabs, integrated batch counter and remote diagnostics.
Optional lift tables at 24â€x48†or 36â€x72†also are available. Scissors lifts provide operators more efficient feeding control, as well as an ability to easily adjust the height of any feed stack via a pedal. The optional cold glue extrusion system employs an Aro dual-diaphragm pneumatic pump to allow easy use with long-lasting 55 gallon drums of adhesive.
With nearly 500 installations providing dependable service to plants all over North America, the GL-III has become one of the most reliable and important gluers in the corrugated industry history. If you make boxes you need a GL-III!
