Ad is submitted by poster: M8162 is Mullard's special quality British army version of ECC81 with much longer life, lower microphonics and noise.
The tube has arrow symbol labelled meaning British Millitary grade, and has R-code etched on glass, meaning it was made in Mullard Mitcham factory, Great Britain, which was specialized in producing special quality tubes while B-code Blackburn factory was specialized in producing general purpose tubes.
Plate is made of copper unlike general purpose tubes.
