The purpose of this series is to provide the layman with an introduction to the fundamentals of installing, servicing, and repairing the various types of equipment used in residential heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
Consequently, it was written not only for the engineer or skilled serviceman but also for the average homeowner. A special effort was made to remain consistent with the terminology, definitions, and practices of the various professional and trade associations involved in the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning fields.
Volume 2 contains descriptions of the working principles of various types of equipment and other components used in these systems.
