These LED's are fantastic state of the art opto-electronics. Within a 5mm standard LED package are 3 (RGB) elements that allow this device to display any colour of the visible spectrum. These are brand new and as such the manufacturers sell them at a premium price.
UNIT PRICE HAS NOW DROPPED OWING TO MANUFACTURER CHANGE.
You won't find these in Maplin or when you do they will be at least 3 times the price I am asking!!!!!.
